It Made My Day!

Woke up in the morning, felt dizzy, still sleepy. Too lazy to move. Nevertheless, had to get up. Work was waiting. Problems were still existing. Had no spirit left to fight. Heart mumbled, “I wish it was weekend.” A have-ever-experienced scenario for everyone, I guess.

I was in one.

Continuing that morning, despite my (old) habit of taking motorbike to office, I prefered walking. Might be because of the gloomy sky. Perfect. My mood got a friend.

I was walking alone, staring at my steps, thoughts were flying in and out, when an old man passed me by. A foreigner. (Note: in Bali you can find foreigners as easy as finding shells in the beach sand)

His voice startled me. “Good morning!” I lifted my eyes, and there, I saw a big smile on his face. He transfered a joy. I couldn’t help but reply “Good morning.” And there, was a smile on my face.

A total mood change for the rest of that day. Just because someone cared to leave a smile and a greeting to brighten up one’s day.
